Iris — Terms of Use

Effective date: Effective upon the App's public launch.

These Terms of Use ("Terms") are a binding agreement between you and Stellium Labs, LLC ("Iris," "we," "us," or "our") and govern your use of the Iris mobile app and related services (together, "the App"). By downloading, accessing, or using the App, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated here by reference. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. The service

Iris is an astrology app for understanding romantic compatibility. The readings, compatibility scores, forecasts, and "Ask Iris" answers we provide are for personal entertainment and reflection only. They are not professional advice (including relationship, medical, legal, financial, or psychological advice) and must not be relied on as such. You are solely responsible for the decisions you make. If you are experiencing a crisis or need professional help, contact a qualified professional or your local emergency services.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required in your country) to use the App. By using the App you represent and warrant that you meet this requirement and that you have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.

3. Your account and content

You are responsible for the information you enter and for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and your sign-in provider (Apple, Google, or email/password). You are responsible for all activity under your account.

When you add another person as a "connection," you enter their birth details and optional photo. You represent that you have any consent or permission needed to enter another person's information. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the App in violation of any applicable law or regulation;
  • Attempt to disrupt, overload, reverse-engineer, decompile, or gain unauthorized access to the App or its systems;
  • Use the App to harass, harm, impersonate, or violate the rights or privacy of others;
  • Scrape, copy, resell, or commercially exploit the App or its content without our written permission; or
  • Circumvent usage limits, fair-use controls, credit metering, or security measures.

We may suspend or terminate your access if you misuse the App or breach these Terms.

5. Subscriptions, credits, and auto-renewal (Apple)

The App offers consumable credits and auto-renewable subscriptions purchased through the Apple App Store. The following terms apply:

  • Plans and pricing. Subscriptions are offered as a Monthly plan at $14.99/month and an Annual plan at $99.99/year. Credits are also available as one-time packs. Current prices, included credits, and any promotional offers are shown in the App at the point of purchase and may change; the price displayed at purchase governs that transaction.
  • Billing. Payment is charged to your Apple ID account upon confirmation of purchase.
  • Auto-renewal. A subscription automatically renews for the same period at the then-current price unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.
  • Managing and canceling. You can manage and cancel subscriptions in your Apple ID account settings (iOS Settings → your name → Subscriptions). Canceling stops future renewals; you keep access until the end of the current billing period.
  • Free trials and starter credits. Any unused portion of a free trial period, where offered, is forfeited when you purchase a subscription. Free or promotional credits have no cash value and may expire.
  • Credits. Credits are a limited, non-transferable, revocable license to access features within the App. They are not money, have no cash value, are non-refundable except as required by law, and cannot be redeemed for cash or transferred between accounts.
  • Refunds. Purchases are processed by Apple and refunds are handled by Apple under Apple's policies. You can request a refund at reportaproblem.apple.com. If something went wrong on our end, email us and we will try to help.

6. Apple Standard EULA

Your license to use the App is also governed by Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the "Standard EULA"), which is incorporated by reference. You can read it at apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula. You acknowledge that these Terms are between you and Stellium Labs, LLC, not Apple, and that Apple is not responsible for the App or its content. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them. Where these Terms and the Standard EULA conflict for purposes of the App Store, the Standard EULA governs to the extent required by Apple.

7. Intellectual property

The App, including its software, design, text, and the presentation of generated content, is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for your personal, non-commercial use, subject to these Terms. The content you enter remains yours; you grant us a license to use it solely to operate and provide the App as described in our Privacy Policy.

8. Third-party services and AI-generated content

The App relies on third-party services (including Apple, Google/Firebase, RevenueCat, and AI providers) to function. Your use of those services may be subject to their terms. Readings and Ask Iris answers are generated in part by automated systems and may be inaccurate, incomplete, or unsuited to your circumstances; treat them as entertainment, not fact or advice.

9. Disclaimers

The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, to the maximum extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or that any reading is accurate, complete, or suited to your circumstances.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Stellium Labs, LLC and its officers, members, employees, and suppliers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from or related to your use of (or inability to use) the App. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for all claims relating to the App will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months before the claim or USD $50. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of the above may not apply to you.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Stellium Labs, LLC and its officers, members, and employees from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of your use of the App, your content, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any law or the rights of any third party (including any person whose information you enter).

12. Termination

You may stop using the App at any time and delete your account from within the App (Profile → Privacy → Delete account). We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms or if we discontinue the App. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification, and governing law) will survive.

13. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Subject to applicable law and any rights you have under the Apple Standard EULA, you and Stellium Labs, LLC agree that the state and federal courts located in the Commonwealth of Virginia will have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the App, and you consent to personal jurisdiction there. Nothing in these Terms limits any non-waivable consumer rights you have under the law of your country of residence.

14. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated version here and revise the "Effective date" above. Material changes will be communicated through the App or by other reasonable means. Your continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
